About Us
Gladstones is owned and operated by Bob and Kellie Gladstone, along with additional support from our friends and family. We are in our 8th year of trading, and as keen as ever to supply top quality goods at great prices in double quick time.

We have strong family links with both the Police and Military establishments and as such we understand the particular difficulties that can affect our customers.

Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier, just browse our store and add any item that you wish to buy in to the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on checkout and you will be asked for details that we need to be able to complete the order.

If you have placed an item in your shopping basket that you do not need you can make changes by clicking on View Basket, this can be found by going back to the home page. Make your changes and press update. This can only be done if you have not completed the order.

We accept all major credit/debit cards, including Maestro, Visa, Mastercard, Delta and Sole. We DO NOT accept American Express.

You may send your credit card information via telephone or fax or over the internet. You can also pay by cheque or postal order made payable to Gladstones, we do not ship goods until payment has been received in full.









Shipping And Handling

3 very important points when ordering.

1 Make sure someone is available to sign for parcel
2 You remember to put the size required
3 Deliveries made Monday - Friday only

Our system is set up to cater for parcels going to mainland UK only, if you want to make an order to be delivered to the Channel Islands, Isle of Wight or Northern or Southern Ireland, you will need to place your order by phone as these areas have a higher carriage charge.

Orders placed by 4pm Monday to Friday will be shipped the same day on a next working day service.
However this service is not guaranteed.

The Carriers require someone to be at the delivery address to sign for the parcel.
They WILL NOT leave it without a signature.

Deliveries are only made Monday to Friday.
There is no way to determine the time of its arrival.

It is always best to have the parcel sent to an address that you know will be occupied. If you are not likely to be at home to receive your goods maybe have them delivered to a works address, friend or relative.

There is a facility on the ordering page where you can choose an alternative address for delivery of the parcel.






Delivery Charges

Orders up to the value of £10.00 will be sent 1st class using the Royal Mail recorded delivery service.
Charged at £3.00

Orders up to £30.00 are also sent with the Royal Mail recorded delivery service.
Charged at £4.50. (These are both first class services but are not guaranteed next day)

Orders over the value of £30.00 are sent via a carrier on a next working day service.
Charged at £6.99. Although the service we use is next working day it is not guaranteed.

Although we endeavour to get all deliveries to you on time there are occasions where this just does not happen, there is no binding contract between us and you are not entitled to a refund on carriage if it does no get to you on time.

Some areas such as the Highlands can take longer to arrive.

We reserve the right to use which ever delivery service we deem appropriate.

Orders over £170 are shipped free of charge via a courier service, If you order goods over the value of £170 and subsequently returned items for a refund, this refund will be less the shipping change that applies to the goods retained.

Items that are offered on special discount may attract a postage charge, as we can not always offer free carriage on items that we have discounted.

Please note that we will always try to get your order despatched as quickly as possible, if there is likely to be a delay we will advise you accordingly.

Please be aware that you are paying for shipping which happens be a next day service you are not paying extra for a next day service.

Delivery Attempts

The carriers will require a signature for all goods. Goods will not be left without a signature. If the first delivery attempt is unsuccessful the carrier should leave you a card and you will need to contact your local depot in order to rearrange a second attempt. Additionally we will send you an e mail advising you of the contact number of the carrier and your parcel reference. You will need to contact them immediately. The carrier will only hold the parcel for 5 days after this time the parcel will returned to us, this is not a free service and cost is not met by Gladstones, but by you. If you request a third delivery the carriers will charge you to do so.

If you decide to change the delivery address after we have dispatched your goods there will be a charge to do so as the carriers regard this as a separate job.








Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order the item for you, ie keep the order until stock is available. You will always be emailed in this event with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Credit Card Security

This is a secure site- Additionally we do not release any information to third parties.

When the order is placed on our web site, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.



Guarantee

Buy with confidence. We offer a full refund on items that are not suitable to the customer's requirements. All goods returned must be in their original packaging and in perfect condition.

There is a 28 day time limit on these returns.

Warranty

Gladstones offer a 3 month guarantee on all goods sold, from date of purchase.

If an item becomes faulty due to workmanship/materials within this period we will offer a free repair of replacement at our discretion providing the item is returned to us together with your proof of purchase and a clear and concise note advising of what the problem is.

Privacy Policy

Gladstones do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Returns Policy

We hope that you are happy with your purchase. If for whatever reason you need to return any items please take the following steps.

There is a 28 day limit on returns.

1. Include a note indicating whether a refund, exchange or replacement is required, along with a copy of your receipt.

2. If you are returning your order to exchange for a different size you will need to include a £5.00 cheque/cash/postal order for the return carriage of your goods. Cheque payable to Gladstones.
(This is a reduced postage charge)

3. All returns should be sent back via Royal Mail to following address:

4. Goods must be returned in good condition, ensure that the goods are packaged correctly and that nothing is stuck to the box. We will not be held liable for the loss or damage of any returned items/parcels.

GIFT VOUCHERS: If you purchase an item that has a promotional gift voucher included and you subsequently decide to return that item for a refund or exchange for another item, then you must also return the voucher as it formed part of your initial purchase.

Gift Vouchers must be used within 12 months from issue date.
